Happy New Year Everyone!!!

I Want... Wednesday

I'm getting ready to go out to check out these Delta faucets for our kitchen but before that, let me answer this year's last set of "I Want... Wednesday" meme questions. :)

This weeks question is:

What do you want to accomplish in the upcoming year, 2010? Go back to school for a second course. Good luck to me and my rusty brain. Haha!

What else do you want this week? Share it all. Go to the Factory Outlet Stores and shop 'til I drop! That's it. :)

Good Day!

What a great way to start the day hearing from our agent that our life insurance rate has been lowered! :) But hubby said he will still set aside the same amount but will use the extra money for Jaden's college fund. He sets aside an amount every month for Jaden's savings account so that when it's time for him to go to college, he won't need to apply for any student loan.

CHRISTMAS EVE :: COUNTRY CHRISTMAS :: MON NOEL A MOI

Cleaning Up Time!

Well, it's almost the end of the year which reminds me I need to start getting rid of the junk in Jaden's room. I have a pile of documents there - bank statements, term life insurance quotes I got from the mail and flyers. I also have boxes of baby and parenting magazines there. I'm not sure if I should throw them out or keep them but hubby's complaining already. It's eating a lot of space and our growing boy needs all the space he can explore. What should I do... hmmn... Suggestions anyone?

Missing in Action

Hello friends! Sorry if I've been missing in action again. I got caught in the holiday rush. LOL! I'm not even done shopping for gifts and I only have 4 days left. Yaiks! Wish me luck!

Anyway, I got invited by my friend to attend a scrapbooking workshop in Salt Lake City but I am not sure if I can make it. The workshop is scheduled on the 7th of January 2010. It fell on a Thursday which means MIL won't be around to take care of the lil boy. She will be attending a 2-day convention at St. George on that same day. She already signed up and paid for that convention so she can't cancel it. And I won't ask her to back out either because she needs to be out socializing with other people. It has been awhile since she attended gatherings of any sort since my FIL passed away early this year so I know this convention will do her good. There will be more scrapbooking workshops in the future for me so I'll give way to my MIL. I'll just keep on checking EventSetter.com for upcoming events here in SLC.

HOLIDAY TEMPLATE :: COUNTDONW TO CHRISTMAS :: PROJECT 365 DECEMBER TEMPLATE

Best Wishes!

I just finished chatting with my friend and she told me that her boyfriend of 4 years already proposed to her! I'm so happy for them. It's about time that they take their relationship to a whole new level. I've known them since we were in college and I was the one who introduced them to each other. Who would have thought that that simple meet up will turn out to be the start of a wonderful relationship and a lifetime commitment. Indeed, love works in mysterious ways! :)

By the way, the wedding is set this June and my friend is asking for my help to look for great honeymoon destinations. Since they cannot go too far away, I suggested they spend their honeymoon at the Mexican Riviera Maya and spend a week or so at Karisma's Adults Only All Inclusive Resorts. I'm sure they will have a great time there.

The Big Apple

One of the states that I wanted to visit here in the US is New York. It has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid. That is why I was so happy when I found out that our next family reunion will be held in New Jersey which is a bridge away from New York. Hubby promised that we will stay for a couple of days in New York after the reunion to give us enough time to explore it and experience what it feels like to live in a city that never sleeps. I already found some affordable new york hotel deals online and all we have to do right now is save, save and save! :)

New Business Promotion

It's almost the end of the year and my BIL has not come up yet with any idea on how to promote their new business. So here I am to the rescue! Since it's a computer shop, I suggested they give away a Promotional flash drive to every customer who purchases more than $20 worth of items. Or they can make calendars for 2010. It's a lot more cheaper I think. I'm sure they will get a huge discount if they will order these promotional items in bulk.

Last winter, I just stayed indoors because I was pregnant but this year will be about the outdoors. I will try ice skating, skiing and bob sledding!

9. What holiday movies best describe the season for you and why? I'll pass again. My brain's not working. LOL!

Acey

I miss Acey - my Acer Aspire laptop. But I have to give it away to make room for a new one. I gave it to my baby sister because she needs it for her school work. We already have a PC at my parents' home but I figured it would be more convenient if she has her own laptop. That way she can work on her assignments even when she's not at home. Anyway, it was hubby who hand-carried it all the way to the Philippines when he went home last May. And despite the long trip, my laptop survived with no damage and scratches.
