Safety Precautions for Women Living Alone

Post written by Tanya Maclean

If you are a women who is living alone, there are many safety precautions that you should take. As a single women, I was afraid and concerned about being a single women, and living by myself. The first thing that I did was call a home security company, and had an adt security alarm installed for a reasonable price. I also got dead bolt locks for all of my doors, and had windows with locks installed. This way no one could just walk into my home easily, or unheard. Have you heard of man's best friend? Well they are a woman's best friend too! Getting a dog is a great way to make your home safer. Not only do they offer companionship, they also can be very effective when protecting you. A dogs sense will detect intruders or suspicious activity, and they will notify you to the best of their ability. Another thing that I did was talk to my neighbors, and let them know not to hesitate contacting me in case of abnormal activities. Doing these things can make your home safer for you, and they are all easy to do. Your safety should be your number one priority.

Diversifying Investments

Let's face it, investing nowadays is one risky undertaking. The world economy is so unpredictable and the stock market is going down and down. But if you are a brave soul and you really want to diversify your investments, then your best option is to invest in gold and other precious metals such as silver and platinum. Why gold, you may ask? Well, it's because gold becomes more valuable over time and it's more stable than paper currency. For starters, you can buy gold eagle coins - one of the world's leading gold bullion investment coins. It's the only bullion coins whose weight, content and purity are guaranteed by the United States Government. And not only that, it is also accepted in major investment markets worldwide so trading it is not a problem.

Skincare Regimen

I have a question and I hope my daily lurkers on this blog will answer it seriously. Here goes: When should you start using anti-aging products such as wrinkle creams? I'm asking this question because in a few months time, I will turn another year older. And I think it's high time for me to use some special skincare products aside from a daily moisturizer so I can maintain the youthful glow of my skin. Is it time or it is way too late for me to start a skincare regimen? ;)

Sales

My friends and I went to Brickyard Plaza last Tuesday and I saw some scrapbook supplies on sale. So I bought a few stickers and embellishments and will give it away this month to some of my avid lurkers on this blog. So if you are into paper scrapbooks, you better watch out for my giveaway contest! By the way, the dumbbells and pull up bars were also on sale which I think will make a very nice Father's Day present but sad to say, hubby's not a gym buff so I just got him a different gift instead.

SPRING DRESS :: FRIENDS FOREVER :: BLOSSOMS OF ICE PART 6

Saturday, June 12, 2010

Goodbye to You

1. Have you had to say goodbye to a good friend or lover because they were moving? Yup, I did. It was sad but there's nothing I can do.

2. Have you ever wanted to use personal information about someone to sort of "blackmail" them? If yes, tell us about it. Yes, but I'd rather keep it to myself. ;)

3. What two things influenced the choice of your present job or to stay at home? My staying home is a mutual decision because no one will take care of our lil boy except me. Nannies are way too expensive! We can't afford them.

4. Do you like warm weather? How warm does it get where you live? What is the best way to spend a hot, summer day? We have an extreme weather here in Utah. It gets really cold during winter time and very hot during summer.

5. What do you find "hot" in a man/woman? What is the first thing you notice about someone who is hot? Do you ever think of yourself as hot? In my vocabulary, "hotness" requires 3 Bs - Brain, Beauty and Body. And to answer the second question, well, I "used to" consider myself hot but that was some years ago. I think I need to read more pronexin reviews to gain that hotness back. ;)

6. Are you quick to anger? How do you react when you are angry or frustrated? What do you do to cool down? No. I don't easily get angry but if you push me too far then better watch out because I explode like a volcano. You wouldn't want to see me when I'm in that state. As for cooling down, well, I just go somewhere relaxing like at the park or at the beach.

7. In your family, who is the least like the rest of you? I guess that's me because I don't share my siblings' queer habits. LOL!

8. What are a few great books that you've taken along to the beach or on vacation in years past? If you aren't a big reader, what do you do to while away the lazy hours? When I go to the beach, I don't bring books. I spend the day by going for a swim or searching for beautiful seashells along the shoreline.

9. Do you like going outside during a thunderstorm and watching the lightening? Nope. I'm one scaredy-cat. ;)
