New Car!

I'm not sure if I already mentioned here that hubby bought a new car two weeks ago. But anyway, his co-nurse from work offered to buy our old Honda CRV so dear hubby grabbed the opportunity and went car shopping right away. It took him a week to find the perfect car for him and then another week to process everything. Good thing we have a good credit standing so our car loan was approved in just a matter of minutes. What took time though is the sale of our old car. The buyer has a temporary status here in the US so it was hard for him to get approved for a loan. Good thing one bank gave him a chance. But before handing our dear old car to the new owner, hubby took care of the car insurance policy first. He helped the new owner to look for an insurance provider because you can't register a car not unless you have one.

A Sure Way to Diversify Your Investments

Let's all face it, investing nowadays is one risky business. The world economy is so unpredictable and the stock market is going downhill. But if you really want to take the plunge and diversify your investments, then your best option is to invest in gold and other precious metals such as silver and platinum.

Why gold, you may ask? Well, it's because gold becomes more valuable over time and it's more stable than paper currency. For starters, you can buy gold coins such as the gold eagle - one of the world's leading gold bullion investment coins. It's the only bullion coins whose weight, content and purity are guaranteed by the United States Government. And not only that, it is also accepted in major investment markets worldwide so trading is not a problem.

Too Good to be True!

I got another invitation to join a multi-level marketing company and my "new" friend assured me that in two months time, I will double or triple my initial investment. It sounds really tempting but as they say, if it is too good to be true, it is not true! Our world is full of scams right now and I don't want to be one of the victims. Although the company sounds legit, but still, I don't want my hard-earned money to vanish in thin air just like that. I'd rather buy gold bullion or gold coins and invest in precious metal investing than put my money in a risky business such as MLM marketing.

Important Commodity

I'm no expert when it comes to investing but I know one thing, gold and other precious metals will always be an important commodity for mankind and as we've seen through time, its value remains unstirred despite all the crisis our world has been through. Birthday Getaway

Dear hubby is asking me where I wanted to go for my birthday next month. He said he can take a few days off so we can spend some quality time together. Well, I would love to go on a Branson vacation getaway but a few days isn't enough. If we're going there, we must stay for at least a week to make the most out of our vacation. And since we can't do that, I suggested we'll go for that self-guided raft trip on Provo River instead. That way, we don't have to go too far and spend that much. Hubby is okay with the idea but we have one problem though, to whom and where will we leave our lil boy while we're out rafting in the river? Any volunteers? ;)

New Winter Wardrobe

Summer is coming to an end that's why I am starting to plan my new wardrobe this winter. I'm getting rid of a lot of winter clothes because most of them don't fit me anymore. They shrunk in the dryer or maybe I just gained weight. But I think it's the dryer that's at fault here! LOL! Anyway, what matters is that I now have the perfect excuse to go shopping. So barcode scanners, watch out for me! You'll be smokin' hot when I'm done with my shopping spree!

Bride Wars: The Cure for Wedding Anxiety!

Author: Jonathan Suarez

This past month I caught one of the more recent wedding comedies, Bride Wars, every time it was on...which means I probably saw it about five times. I can't help but love everything about the dynamic between Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson, the meek and mousy friend competing with the self-centered but accomplished friend is a story line that allows for just about anyone to relate to at least some part of the character at one point or another. Along with that is all the eye candy in the movie, from the outfits to the apartments...and the grooms. I have to admit it even gave me gave me some ideas for my upcoming bachelorette party, because that pink wig was killer. If I didn't have the direct tv spanish package I wouldn't have gotten the chance to relive this story, and I am so glad I did. How else will I know what bridezilla behaviors to stay away from? Here's hoping I can learn to be the perfect mix between Liv and Emma, and enjoy this wedding planning process a bit more. Watching girly wedding movies is a good way to keep my cool, for one thing. Better yet, I'll grab my girlfriends and have them watch with me, because the only thing better than a chick flick is enjoying it with your girls!
