Technology has enabled us to do things we haven't done before. Above all, it helped us improve our lives especially in the science of medicine. It helped the doctors do groundbreaking surgeries. Gold Bars Make a Safe Investment

Some investment offers that tell us how to get rich easily without having to set aside something valuable is very tricky especially these days. I myself would not give in to these seemingly fraud deals because I believe investment requires us to save and risk something that is costly. However, when somebody introduced me into investing to gold bars, my perception about this changed. Even if it took a while before I got convinced, I am glad with my decision to buy gold instead of entrusting my money to some unreliable business people. I still needed to cash out but not that much anymore. I wanted a sure way of securing my money and getting away from monetary rackets that end up only in deceptions. Right now, I owe a simple yet contemporary knowledge from United States Gold Bureau, as they gave me an indispensable wisdom on getting ahead financially by investing in precious metal god coins. They were able to provide me realistic answers to my questions about acquiring gold coins. Thus, I confidently count on this move without having to bring out much money from my savings.

Friday Fill-Ins #196

So... here we go!

1. One of my strongest beliefs is abiding the Golden Rule.
2. Oh my, I'm huge! (Haha!)
3. The sky is cloudy with a threat of rain and wind and cold, so I better wear something warm and comfy.
4. Fluffy pillows is comforting to me.
5. I always thought I'd be Miss Universe. (LOL! Dream on!)
6. I got my coat and then I went outside to look at the full moon.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to watching a scary flick with my boys, tomorrow my plans include finishing up all my online tasks and Sunday, I want to RELAX!

Feeling Dizzy

After blogging for the whole day (and I'm not even done yet), I now feel dizzy. It must be because I've been staring my monitor for hours already. I just hope it doesn't get worse though. I still have a couple of articles to blog and a dizzy head is the last thing I need.

Gold Bullion Investment

A family friend told us that today is the best time to buy gold. With gold's increasing value and price in the market, it is surely an investment. More and more people are purchasing gold bullion. Actually, hubby and I recently had a talk about purchasing gold because we have read it in the papers and received so many great stories about the benefits of investing on gold. As experts said, owning gold and precious metals is one of the safest ways to protect your family's private wealth. I guess at this moment, hubby and I are 95% convinced that we need to purchase gold bullion the soonest.

Friday's Fab Five

My first time to play this meme and I snagged the set of questions for September 3rd. Here goes:

3. What is your favorite hobby? Blogging? Haha!
4. If you were only able to have one food the rest of your life, what would it be? Fruitssss!
5. What did you have for breakfast today? Smoked fish and noodle soup.

Precious Gold Coin

We had a general cleaning last weekend when I found this old family box that I have kept for many years. I almost forgot about the existence of this box. I remember putting in the box all items that were special and important to the family. When I opened it, I was surprised to see a gold coin. Oh, I remember that my dear grandfather (God bless his good soul) gave it to me when I turned 18 years old. It was his special gift to me during my debut. I was really touched because I know how grandpa valued his collection of gold coins and I really felt loved when I received one from him. How I miss my lolo (that's how we call him).

A Man Trapped in a Woman's Body

I have a lesbian friend and she started taking natural testosterone when she was in her early twenties and she actually started manifesting male sexual characteristics like men do in their puberty age. Her adam's apple became more prominent, her voice deepened and she developed muscles. I haven't seen her in years though but for sure she looks more like a man right now than a woman. I heard from our friends that she still continues getting those hormone treatments.

I Love Shopping for Halloween Costumes!

Guest post by Homer Nielsen

Ah, it's that time of year. The seasons are changing and it's almost time for Halloween. It's my favorite time of year and certainly the greatest holiday is on the way! Let's face it, I dig Halloween.

My husband and I host an annual Halloween party that rocks. Of course, our Halloween costumes must be to die for. This year, we plan on doing a Young Frankenstein theme. I'm the bride and he's the monster.

When we shop for our Halloween costumes, we visit our favorite stores in town. There's some retro shops that often have groovy clothes perfect for our Halloween costumes. If we hit the retro shops and find nothing, the next stop is specialty stores. Typically, they have Halloween costumes, albeit a small collection.

Before we go, we always set our home security alarm (click for Dallas adt home security prices) prior to shopping for Halloween costumes. You can't be too safe!

Roger, my husband, is so excited this year. We can hardly wait to hit the retro shops because they have a good collection of apparel, accessories and hats. Sometimes we can find cool shoes and boots to go with our Halloween costumes, too. Since we are doing Young Frankenstein, it's a black suit for Roger and a silky, flowing gown for me. The retro shops should be good with this. I've been lucky to find wigs, too!

Halloween Costume Parties - My Favorite Fall Activity

Thanks for the article from Quinton Wynn

Whoever invented Halloween costumes is a genius. Why should kids have all the fun of playing dress up? Although really I didn't like dressing up as a child, because that was before I discovered Japanese animation. Now I love costume parties, because I get to dress up as all my favorite Japanese animation characters. Last year I went as Dragonball. Dragonball is cool because he has spiky hair which is blonde like mine and he shoots fireballs from his hands. Some people say Superman is stronger but I disagree. Superman does not have the ability to inspire millions to raise their hands and give them their life energy. Superman is lame.

This year I am dressing up as my other favorite character, Cowboy Bebop. Cowboy Bebop is an eccentric kid who likes to work with computers. In other words, Cowboy Bebop is a kind of hacker, a glamorous whiz kid who is also androgynous, just like me. This makes this year's Halloween costume party a sort of coming out party for myself as I let people bask in the mystery of who I really am. Of course, I wouldn't have any ideas for costumes if it weren't for all the wonderful Japanese animation I get to watch on my satellite TV from www.bestchoicetv.com/satellite-tv/ny/. A variety of programs have embraced the medium, and my satellite subscription truly allows me to get my fix.

3. My favorite way to start a day is taking a lukewarm shower.
4. _____ and he walked in the door holding a pumpkin.
5. I look out my window and see the wonderful creation of our Almighty Father.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a relaxing and quiet time with my boys, tomorrow my plans include lazing around (LOL!) and Sunday, I want to continue working on my pending tasks!

Spanish Heritage

The Philippines has been a colony of Spain for 333 years that's why it is not surprising to hear a lot of Spanish words incorporated in the Filipino vocabulary. There may be a slight difference in spelling but the words are pronounced the same. Say for example cigarillo, in the Filipino language we spell it as sigarilyo. Even the culture and tradition of the Filipino people is very similar with the Spaniards. That's why if you visit Philippines, don't be surprised to see a lot of Spanish heritage.

Workout Routines and Diet Plans for a Healthier You

I never had any problem with my weight while growing up. I even thought I will be skinny forever! But I was wrong. Right after giving birth to my son, that's when I started gaining weight. I breastfed my son for ten months and during that time, I was eating as much as I could because in my mind I was feeding for two. And my mom-in-law also told me not to think about dieting because breastfeeding alone will help me lose the excess weight. But then all of a sudden, my son stopped taking milk from me and I was still eating the same amount of food. The result - an overweight me! Yes, I am categorized as "overweight" according to the BMI Calculator at FitClick.com. It's sad but it's the truth and I must face it.

But I am not going to stay overweight all my life. That's what I promised to myself. With proper dieting, a good workout plan, discipline and commitment, I know I can get back on the right track and be healthy again. I just need to stick to my workout routines and watch my calorie intake. I know it's easily said than done but I'm committed to work this out, not just for myself but for my family as well. I want to live long and I can only achieve my goal if I start living a healthy lifestyle. I'm just so glad I have FitClick to help me in this weight loss journey. They offer free tools and a wealth of information on health and fitness, diet plans, workout routines, healthy recipes, exercise videos and so much more!

The Time Traveler Meme

Yaiks! Missed this yesterday because I was busy looking for effective weight loss products. Talk about desperate measures huh!? LOL! Anyway, here's my answers! But first, let's read ---

Emily's Rules:

1. Depending on your age, go back 10, 15, 20, or even more years.
2. Tell us how many years back you have traveled and why.
3. Pretend you have met yourself during that era, and tell us where you are.
4. You only have one "date" with this former self.
5. Answer these questions.

Okay, as we start, what year is it and how old are you? Year 2000 and I am 18 years old.

1. Would your younger self (YYS, from here) recognize you when you first meet? Yes but she will be a bit confused.
2. Would YYS be surprised to discover what you are doing job wise? Yes.
3. What piece of fashion advice would you give YYS? Try a new hairdo.
4. What do you think YYS is most going to want to know? If I'm married or not.
5. How would you answer YYS's question? Yes.
6. What would probably be the best thing to tell YYS? To spend more time with mom because she won't be around that long.
7. What is something that you probably wouldn't tell YYS? When and how mom died.
8. What do you think will most surprise YYS about you? That I gained (so much) weight. Haha!
9. What do you think will least surprise YYS? That I still love cartoons.
10. At this point in your life, would YYS like to run into "you" from the future? Definitely!

Hi everyone! Sorry (again) for the lack of updates here. I've been very busy that's why I didn't have time to do some freebie hunting. But everything's back to normal now so to those who want to take a peek at my top freebie picks, just stay tuned! I'll just finish reading this document management manual (a favor for my husband) and after this we're good to go! ;)
