Industrial Workbenches We Need

Many of us prefer to build or fix things by ourselves. These are the people who have the do-it-yourself attitude. One of our neighbors is no exception. He likes to tinker his motorcycle's engine, he said it was rewarding. I have seen how he do it and I tell you it was an uncomfortable way of fixing something. He just places the engine on the floor and he just keeps on changing his sitting position. It was excruciating as what he told me.

I realized that his situation was not uncommon when I saw some motorcycle and automotive repair shops in our town doing the same thing. Sitting on the ground or squatting, this manner of repairing is messy and it puts the mechanic in a very difficult situation. Because these workers are not in a comfortable working position; they become less energetic, they get tired sooner, and will definitely have body aches.

I wonder why these shops are not doing something about it when the simple solution was to use industrial workbenches on their shops. There's a company named Durham Manufacturing in Connecticut that builds heavy duty industrial workbenches, industrial cabinets and service carts. I've seen their wide selection of benches and they all look really cool. I hope these shops would invest in these great pieces of engineering. Mechanics no longer need to worry about having body pains or leg cramps. The workbench would give them a comfortable and safe space to do the repairing. They would have perfect surface for working with clamps that will allow them to safely secure the item. Mechanics would be at ease doing their job and productivity would definitely increase.
