I'm pretty sure I've already mentioned on this blog that my dad is a chain smoker. He started smoking when he was about 19 years old. Although he tried many times to quit but unfortunately, old habits die hard. But I'm still proud of him because from one pack a day, he's actually down to just 3 to 5 cigars a day. I know it's hard for him but I guess he's starting to feel the ill effects of smoking that's why he slowed down.

It's supposed to be hubby's day off today but they had a training at work so we were not able to do our weekly food shopping. He was required to attend the said training because a new holter system and software was installed in their facility and as the nurse, he needs to be familiar with it. It was a paid training by the way so we didn't mind delaying our food shopping for one day. ;)
Ever heard of a Brazilian diet pill? Well, I'm familiar with Brazilian wax but I've never heard of a pill. But perhaps it's just me. I'm not really interested in this stuff until recently. I never thought I'd gain this much because I've been skinny all my life. But everything changed right after I gave birth. I guess my mom and my aunts are right when they said that you'll gain weight after having a baby. It may not be true for everyone, but it is for me. How depressing. LOL!
Is there any way to burn fats faster other than taking fat burning supplements? I'm asking because I've been trying "really hard" to lose all my excess fats but nothing seems to work. I guess I'm forever doomed to be like this - all flabby and chubby. Sigh! How sad... But hey, I'm not giving up that easily. If fat burners can't do the trick then I'll find other ways to achieve my goal.

Have you seen the new blackberry playbook tablet? Well, I haven't seen one in person yet but basing on the pictures I saw online, it looks like a cool gadget with lots of potential. But what I like most about it is the built-in dual cameras which lets you video chat with friends and family. That's one thing that's missing from it's steepest competition - the iPad.
Anyway, for those wanting to own one, the BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet will be available early this year so you better watch out for it!
The last time we were in Park City, the whole place was covered with thick snow. Steering your way through it was so difficult and treacherous. I almost slipped like a hundred times that day and to think I was wearing my trusty snow boots. I should have worn those redfeather snowshoes my friend lent me but I overestimated myself, thinking that I can survive the day just by wearing my snow boots. Oh well, another lesson learned. Good thing I didn't suffer any injuries that day and came home in one piece.

Taking our kids to see an NBA game is something we try to do at least once a year. Our favorite team is the Utah Jazz, they aren't doing so well these days, but we still enjoy going to a game at the arena.
Our son has really started looking forward to this; he's becoming a real basketball fan. Our team used to be one of the top teams and then all of our great players got old and retired. The Jazz still have a great coach in Jerry Sloan though, so watching the games is exciting for us.
The Jazz play In the Energy Solutions Center and we try to get seats in the lower bowl. There isn't much point to sitting higher up, since you can't see any of the action on the basketball court. My kids have experienced the excitement from the other fans and we are trying to teach them good sportsmanship even though our city is not well known for this.
We've had pretty decent players on the team over the last few years; unfortunately the Jazz wasn't able to perform very well, because these players have been out with injuries.
Before we leave for the big game, my husband always ensures our home is safe by setting our home security alarm from Totalalarmsystems. It's reassuring to know our home is protected.

I think when you have a party at your house, you should transform the space so that it looks a little different than it typically does. I mean, your guests are there for something special so you might as well treat them like they're special and make it a little more different than a regular old visit to your home.
I'm putting the final planning touches on my New Year's Eve party that I'm having this weekend and I'm so proud of what I've been putting together. All of it's going to look so great! I'm going to use a lot of dramatic lighting and a few different add-ons from a rental place so that it's a bit different. When I was online researching that stuff a few weeks ago, I came across the website WWW.CLEARWIRELESSINTERNETSERVICE.COM and after I looked through it a little bit, I decided to change over internet access to one of the packages I found on there.
I'm also going to have some caterers come and set up in the kitchen for my New Year's Eve bash. I didn't want to have to worry about fixing food while I'm ringing in the New Year!
My friend's daughter was so happy when she opened her present from Santa this year. Inside the big box is a brand new pink nintendo ds, a new pair of ballet shoes and the complete collection of her favorite book series. She was really overwhelmed when she saw all her gifts. She couldn't stop smiling that day.
Well, she deserved all those presents. If I'm her Mom aka Santa, I would also grant her wish. She has been a very obedient daughter and made her parents proud by doing well in her studies. She was even nominated as class president. That's how good she is.
